Ingredients required
- Potato - 2
- Green peas/ Batani - 1 Cup
- Onions
- Chilli powder
- Salt
- Pepper powder
- Cumin powder
- Jeera powder
- Tamarind
- Chat masala
- Mint/Pudina
- Coriander
- Turmeric powder
- Lemon
- Soak the Green peas for atleast 6 hours. You can soak them over night. Now take the potatos and the soaked green peas and place them in a cooker. Add 2-3 glasses of water and cook them.
- Now once the potatoes and peas are cooked take them out without any water and smash the potatoes.
- Now take the smashed potatoes and peas into a bowl. Add chilli powder, salt, pepper powder, turmeric, cumin powder, jeera powder and chat masala. If you don't have jeera powder you can add jeera. Now mix the content well. Now your masala is ready.
- Now lets make the pani. Firstly, you have to take some tamarind and soak it in water for about 15-20 minutes. After soaking the tamarind, filter the content to get tamarind juice or you can grind the mixture along with tamarind.
- Now take mint and grind it thoroughly to make chutney. Once the chutney is over keep it aside.
- Now, take a bowl and add some water in it. Now add the tamarind juice and the mint chutney to it. Also add chilli powder, salt, pepper powder, cumin powder, jeera powder, and don't forget to add chat masala. If you want to give it a little more taste you can squeeze a lemon in the mixtue of pani. Mix it thoroughly and your pani is ready.
